The Santa Ana Valley Falcons will take on the Orange Panthers at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Santa Ana Valley is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 23-4 margin over Bolsa Grande on Friday. Considering the Falcons have won 11 matches by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Karla Oliva, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, eight RBI, and two stolen bases. Those eight RBI gave her a new career-high. Belinda Alcantar was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI.
Santa Ana Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .303 or higher in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Orange hadn't done well against La Quinta recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Panthers blew past the Aztecs 13-7. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Aztecs recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Scarlett Poitra was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season.
In other batting news, Liliana Nunez was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one triple. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Anabelle Alvarado, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Santa Ana Valley is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Orange, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10.
Wednesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Santa Ana Valley has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .531. However, it's not like Orange struggles in that department as they've averaged .469. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
