On Saturday, Cuba are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against McCurdy at Home Game at 1:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Cuba took care of business in their home opener. They took their contest against Santa Fe Indian last Thursday 25-16. The team accrued the bulk of their points in the first half (19) and coasted on those for the win.
Meanwhile, McCurdy couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 33-62 punch to the gut against Cloudcroft last week. McCurdy were down by 27-48 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Cuba's victory lifted them to 1-0 while McCurdy's loss dropped them down to 0-1. Cuba's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a McCurdy defensive front that amassed 3 sacks against Cloudcroft, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
