After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Alhambra, Albany was happy to have turned things around  on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the De Anza Dons as the Albany Cougars made off with  a  14-3 win. With that  victory, the Cougars brought their scoring average up to 6.8  runs per game.
 Caroline Snyder was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing three innings while giving up  three earned runs off only  two  hits. Snyder was even better at the plate,  scoring three  runs while going 3-for-4.
 In other pitching news,  Tehya Hancock looked comfortable as she  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in three consecutive appearances.
 Back at the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Lauren Jones, who  went 3-for-5 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple. She also  hit a  double, marking her first of the season.  Samirah Bowie was another key player,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-5.
 Albany  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 14  hits. That's the most  hits they've managed all season.
Albany's record now sits at 2-4. As for De Anza, their defeat  ended  a  six-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 1-2.

Albany is facing Saint Mary's at the right time seeing as Saint Mary's is stuck on  a  three-game losing streak. As for De Anza, they will square off against Pinole Valley at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Pinole Valley's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3  runs per game  this season, so De Anza's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
