Edgar found a leader in Jase Apfelbeck as the squad took down Assumption on Monday. Apfelbeck produced his best game of the campaign: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Edgar is undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 1-2 otherwise.

Apfelbeck's strong effort led Edgar over Assumption and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats are a perfect 10-0 against the Royals going back to April of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
