Corning was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from eighth to sixth in 8-Man District 8 (8 Man). The Red Raiders beat Nishnabotna co-op [Hamburg/Farragut] 68-30 earlier in the week.
Sidney extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Woodbine, 54-14. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between CAM and Lenox. The Cougars enters the contest ranked 11th in the state, while the Tigers ranks 19th.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Sidney takes on Fremont-Mills. Donnie Sears's team has allowed 62 points this season, while the Knights have given up 68.
Corning led 8-Man District 8 (8 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 68 points on the Blue Devils.
