On Friday Port Barre take on Pine Prairie at 7:00 PM. The team will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
Port Barre had a rough outing against Opelousas Catholic two weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Port Barre were able to grind out a solid victory over Mamou last Friday, winning 14-0.
Meanwhile, after a dominant win in their matchup, Pine Prairie were humbled. They were given a punishing 0-46 defeat at the hands of Church Point. Pine Prairie were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-40.
Port Barre's victory lifted them to 2-2 while Pine Prairie's loss dropped them down to 1-3. We'll see if Port Barre's success rolls on or if Pine Prairie are able to steal their positive momentum.
