Mt. Vernon saw some tournament action last Friday. They took a 32-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Eastern Greene.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Abby Powell, who posted six points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah McNeece, who earned four points along with five assists and three steals.
Meanwhile, Carmi-White County beat Middleton 48-41 two weeks ago.
Carmi-White County is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
