The Prairie Valley Bulldogs were the 59-39 winner over the Forestburg Longhorns when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Prairie Valley had to suffer through a rough 66-34 loss at the hands of Forestburg. Prairie Valley has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Forestburg found their leader in underclassman Brenna Briles, who dropped a triple-double on 16 points, 14 rebounds, and ten assists. That's the first time this season that Briles posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Lili Cisneros, who scored 20 points along with three steals.
Prairie Valley's loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 4-9. As for Forestburg, their win bumped their record up to 10-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Prairie Valley will be home for the holidays to greet Archer City at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Archer City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 last Friday. Forestburg will be home for the holidays to greet Bellevue at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bellevue is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
