The KIPP Denver Collegiate White Tigers on the road again on Saturday and play against the Bennett Tigers at 1:00 p.m. on January 27th.
On Thursday, KIPP Denver Collegiate was beaten by Fort Lupton 82-44. While losing is never fun, KIPP Denver Collegiate can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 285th, while Fort Lupton is ranked 107th).
Meanwhile, Bennett strolled past Platte Canyon with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 58-44.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bennett to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jayden Ivory, who scored 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ivory has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Austin Stiers, who scored 14 points.
KIPP Denver Collegiate's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Bennett, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-4 record this season.
KIPP Denver Collegiate came up short against Bennett in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 55-47. Can KIPP Denver Collegiate avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
