It was a good run, but Madison Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a blow against the Frederick Douglass Broncos, falling 68-41. The game marked the Indians' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Madison Central's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brooke Campbell, who posted eight points and four blocks. That's the most points Campbell has posted since back in February of 2024. Nataya Strader was another key player, putting up 14 points and five boards.

Madison Central's loss dropped their record down to 28-3. As for Frederick Douglass, they are on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 23 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-7 record this season.

Madison Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Frederick Douglass, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 48-39 victory against Simon Kenton on the 12th.
