The Covenant Preparatory School found their leader in underclassman Joshua Kennedy, who scored 22 points along with seven steals. That's the first time this season that Kennedy scored 15 or more points. Tye Leatherman was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with nine rebounds and five steals.
The Covenant Preparatory School's victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Covenant Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Coincidentally, The Covenant Preparatory School and Covenant Academy will both be playing Houston Adventist Academy the next time they take the court. Covenant Academy will head out to face Houston Adventist Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while The Covenant Preparatory School will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
