Memorial Lutheran posted their closest win yet this season on Tuesday. They skirted past Baytown Christian 48-46. That's another feather in the cap for Memorial Lutheran, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Memorial Lutheran got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was David Porter out in front who scored 18 points. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Porter has scored at least a third of Memorial Lutheran's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Benjamin Smith, who scored 14 points.
Memorial Lutheran's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Baytown Christian, they dropped their record down to 0-9 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
Memorial Lutheran will take on Family Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Family Christian has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 2. As for Baytown Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Living Stones Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Living Stones Christian comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
