Make it 12 blowout wins for the Center Hill Mustangs this season. They put the hurt on Olive Branch with a sharp 44-24 win on Friday. Winning may never get old, but Center Hill sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Center Hill was led to victory by Jairya Rankins and Anniyah Bailey. Rankins scored eight points along with nine rebounds and three steals, while Bailey scored five points along with six steals. Bailey is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Zarria Shipp was another key contributor, scoring three points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Center Hill has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. As for Olive Branch, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-9.
Center Hill will head out on the road to face off against the at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Cormorant is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Olive Branch, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Indians at 6:00 p.m. on January 27th. Byhalia comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 17 points in their last seven games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
