After three games on the road, Northampton is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Freedom Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Northampton beat Allentown Central Catholic 47-40. Given Northampton's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while Allentown Central Catholic is ranked 313th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Freedom had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They secured a 57-51 W over Easton Area on Friday. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Freedom has managed all season.
Northampton pushed their record up to 3-1 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Freedom, their win bumped their record up to 2-6.
Northampton strolled past Freedom when the teams last played back in February of 2021 by a score of 63-45. Will Northampton repeat their success, or does Freedom have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
