The Marlow Outlaws proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 23) but on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Pauls Valley 52-49. Winning may never get old, but Marlow sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
It was another big night for Blayd Harris, who scored 22 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Boyles, who scored 18 points.
Marlow's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-5. As for Pauls Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-6 record this season.
Marlow on the road again on Tuesday and play against Bridge Creek at 8:00 p.m. on January 30th. As for Pauls Valley, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Purcell at 8:00 p.m. on January 30th. Purcell will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
