Mayfair won against Lynwood last Thursday with 21 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. Josiah Gamez was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Aidan Sullivan was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Tyler Brim, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.
The victory was the eighth in a row for Mayfair, bringing their record up to 17-6. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.4 runs over those games. As for Lynwood, they dropped their record down to 0-10 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home.
