Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Amalachi Wilkins, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 11 rebounds. Wilkins is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in each of the last four games he's played. Chase Robinson was another key player, going 6-for-7 on his way to 12 points.
Even though they lost, Heights smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Maize only three offensive rebounds.
Alan Hanna was his usual excellent self, shooting 59% from the field en route to 24 points and five blocks for Maize. Those five blocks gave Hanna a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brayden Myovela, who posted nine points in addition to seven assists and seven boards.
Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 21-4. As for Maize, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.
