Lone Jack's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Garrett Mantzey led the charge by scoring 21 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Ethan Rogers was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and seven steals.
Santa Fe has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season. As for Lone Jack, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Santa Fe's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Crest Ridge presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Chiefs in Missouri (the Cougars are ranked 117th, while the Chiefs are ranked 535th). As for Lone Jack, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Whirlwinds at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st.
