MCC posted their closest win since September 12, 2024 on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Universal Stars. The win continues a trend for the Crescents in their matchups with the Stars: they've now won five in a row.

MCC had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-15, 25-19.

MCC's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Universal, their loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: MCC beat the Stars by a score of 2-0 later that day.
