The Grace Christian Warriors lost against the Avoyelles Charter Vikings back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Grace Christian was outmatched by Avoyelles Charter at home and fell 69-18. Grace Christian has not had much luck with Avoyelles Charter recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Avoyelles Charter's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Armonii Benjamin, who scored 21 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Benjamin has scored at least 25% of Avoyelles Charter's points. Jalen Brown was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Grace Christian's loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 8-10. As for Avoyelles Charter, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-7.
Grace Christian will head out on the road to face off against Harrisonburg at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Louisiana (Harrisonburg is ranked 361st, while Grace Christian is ranked 371st). As for Avoyelles Charter, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rapides at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Rapides is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
