McConnellsburg is a perfect 5-0 against Claysburg-Kimmel since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Spartans will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. McConnellsburg's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Claysburg-Kimmel's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
McConnellsburg's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-0 win over Everett. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Kohen Hall
Kohen Hall made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over 5.2 innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because McConnellsburg is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-2 otherwise. Hall was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Hall wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ben Sattazahn, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
Meanwhile, Claysburg-Kimmel waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against Fannett Metal by a score of 9-5. While the Bulldogs didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
The team relied heavily on Mason Campagna, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. Paydden Knisely was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3.
Claysburg-Kimmel pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for McConnellsburg, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Everything went McConnellsburg's way against Claysburg-Kimmel in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as McConnellsburg made off with a 13-2 win. Do the Spartans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
