This season hasn't been kind to the Apopka Christian Academy Lions, who are still winless after their fourth matchup. They took a serious blow against Saints Academy School on Saturday, falling 65-30. Apopka Christian Academy lost against Saints Academy School in their previous head to head two weeks ago, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 59-30 score last time.
Saints Academy School's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zikee McCallum led the charge by scoring 16 points along with six rebounds. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for him. King Hill was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Apopka Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Saints Academy School, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Apopka Christian Academy will face off against Innovation Montessori at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Innovation Montessori focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Friday. Saints Academy School's road trip will continue as they head out to face World Changers Christian Academy at 6:15 p.m. on December 19th.
