The Glen Oaks Panthers suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They were outmatched by Liberty Magnet on the road and fell 70-23. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Glen Oaks has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Liberty Magnet to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chivas Lee Jr., who scored 13 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lee Jr. has scored all season. Jaylen Peters was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Glen Oaks' defeat dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Liberty Magnet, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glen Oaks' road trip will continue as they head out to face East Ascension at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. As for Liberty Magnet, they will square off against Peabody at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Peabody will be looking to keep their ten-game home win streak alive.
