Bend made the biggest jump in the
national rankings, moving from 2302 to 1819 thanks to a 2-0 record over the past week. The Lava Bears are currently No. 10 in the state of Oregon, with an overall record of 18-8.
Summit currently sits at the top of the league with a mark of 26-5 overall and 6-2 in the league. Bend is in second place, negative two games behind with a 12-4 record in league play.
The Lava Bears' pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing 23 hits and six walks to lead the league in both categories. Bend has given up a mere 180 hits on the year, while striking out 108 opposing hitters.
Anthony Martorano is the leader in that category with 27 Ks on the season.
