The Eau Claire Shamrocks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 46-45 to Hanahan.
Leading Hanahan to victory were Landon Hargrove and Jonah Auckenthaler. Hargrove scored 13 points along with eight rebounds, while Auckenthaler dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Hargrove continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
Eau Claire has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Hanahan, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eau Claire will take on C.A. Johnson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hanahan and Berkeley will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Berkeley will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
