It was a good run, but the South Delta Bulldogs unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 62-48 bruising from Port Gibson. South Delta has struggled against Port Gibson recently, as their match on Friday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Port Gibson found their leader in underclassman Camara Evans, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ger'Kiya Flowers, who scored 21 points.
South Delta's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Port Gibson, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
South Delta has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Port Gibson at 6:00 p.m. on December 1st. Hopefully Port Gibson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 41 on Friday. As for they, they will head out on the road to face off against South Delta at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
