The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Colton in their matchups with Pomeroy: they've now lost six in a row.
Leading Pomeroy to victory were Trace Roberts and Oliver Severs. Roberts scored 16 points, while Severs scored 25 points along with 4 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Severs has scored at least 25% of Pomeroy's points. Another player making a difference was Cesar Morfin, who scored 8 points along with 4 steals.
Colton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Pomeroy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.
Colton will be playing at home against St. John-Endicott at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pomeroy, they will head out on the road to face off against Dayton at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Dayton comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
