After soaring to 55 points the game before, Bartlett Yancey were a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They were dealt a 84-23 loss at the hands of Northwood. Bartlett Yancey was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-6.
Matthew Sidney put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two blocks. He hasn't dropped below 15 points for ten straight games.
Meanwhile, North Moore's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight defeat. They fell 44-36 to Jordan-Matthews.
North Moore's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Austin Patterson, who scored 15 points along with three steals and two blocks, and Colby Pennington who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Patterson has scored all season.
Bartlett Yancey has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for North Moore, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-12.
Bartlett Yancey beat the Mustangs 65-54 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bartlett Yancey since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
