It's playoff time, and Highland had no trouble coming through when it counted. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Albuquerque Academy Chargers 66-37. Winning may never get old, but the Hornets sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Highland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jerry Moody, who went 7-for-11 to rack up 14 points along with five boards and four blocks. Moody is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in each of the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Juan Limas, who posted 13 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.
Highland's victory bumped their record up to 18-14. As for Albuquerque Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-9.
Looking ahead, Highland will take on Artesia at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Highland is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.1 points per game this season. Albuquerque Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
