Rochester and Eastern are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Zebras will face off against the Comets at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Rochester is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.
On Friday, Rochester needed a bit of extra time to put away Culver Community. They had just enough and edged out the Cavaliers 11-10. The Zebras haven't had any issues with the Cavaliers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Aubrey Wilson was incredible, going 2-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Jadyn Field also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Rochester lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Eastern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of Tipton.
Mackenzea Causey was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Myah Stevens was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run.
Eastern's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Rochester, their record is now 5-3.
Eastern's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Rochester has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .436. It's a different story for Eastern, though, as they've only averaged .364. Will they be able to contain Rochester's hitters?
Rochester couldn't quite get it done against Eastern in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 8-3. Can the Zebras avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
