JT Williams and Nick Wheeler provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Vallivue. The connection was good for 46 yards, the longest such play in 5A Southern Idaho this season.
Centennial was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from eighth to sixth in the league.
Hunter Kenyon was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 109 yards on 24 carries as Borah bested Timberline. Eric Thrift also contributed to the rushing game with six yards on the ground.
Williams put up the best numbers through the air as Eagle topped the Falcons. He finished with 10 completions for 230 yards and four touchdowns. Williams' favorite target this week was Wheeler, who caught five passes for 140 yards.
Williams was the best wideout in 5A Southern Idaho this week as the Lions bested the Wolves. Williams racked up nine receptions for 184 yards. Kadeem Torgeson helped Borah's passing attack out by catching two balls for 38 yards.
Nick Burt made the biggest impact on defense this week as Borah beat Timberline. The defensive back grabbed one interception and racked up 0.5 sack.
5-foot-10 quarterback Williams of the Mustangs is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1271. He has also thrown 12 touchdowns. On the ground, Darren Corpus's team's Kenyon has rushed for 615 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Williams. The Borah star has 29 catches for 644 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Boise and the Patriots. The Braves enters the contest ranked 18th in the state, while Centennial ranks 16th.
There should be lots of points scored when Eagle and the Lions face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Paul Peterson's team comes in having scored 218 this season, while Borah has scored 151. The Mustangs scored 31 points last week as they defeated Vallivue.
Eagle extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Layne Coffin's team, 31-28. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
