Despite the defeat, Bowman Academy saw an underclassman step up: Jamarie Pollard scored 23 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tasean Gates, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Bowman Academy struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Bowman Academy now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Michigan City, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-8.
Bowman Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Victory Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Bowman Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Tuesday. As for Michigan City, they will head out on the road to challenge Lake Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lake Centralpresents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Michigan City in Indiana (Lake Central is ranked 27th, while Michigan City is ranked 111th).
