Devin Adler made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was his first of the season.
In other pitching news, Alex Franco got the start for Lincoln and what a start it was: he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Franco has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Riley Lincoln and Greyson Clark did most of the damage at the plate: Lincoln went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI and two runs, while Clark went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases Clark has posted since back in May. CJ Walton was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Lincoln kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Sergeant Bluff-Luton's win bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Lincoln, their victory bumped their record up to 15-4.
