Softball Recap: Ludlow Drops Season-High Score on St. Henry

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ludlow). They put the hurt on the St. Henry Crusaders with a sharp 26-7 win on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Crusaders: they've now won nine in a row.

Ludlow got a massive performance out of Shelby Ralston, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with five stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was London Vogt, who went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI.

Ludlow kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 24 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Ludlow's win bumped their record up to 11-8-1. As for St. Henry, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

Looking ahead, Ludlow will challenge Newport at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.17 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for St. Henry, they will take on Calvary Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
