It was a good run, but the Brookfield Academy Blue Knights unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 80-67 to Lake Country Lutheran. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Brookfield Academy has scored all season.
Lake Country Lutheran got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sam Hans out in front who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 rebounds. Hans hasn't dropped below 15 points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Cleary, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Brookfield Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-2. As for Lake Country Lutheran, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3.
Brookfield Academy will head out on the road to challenge Luther Prep at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Luther Prep will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings (they are ranked 158th, while Brookfield Academy is ranked 40th). As for Lake Country Lutheran, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Kingdom Prep Lutheran at 7:15 p.m.
