It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Norwell Knights ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They walked away with a 66-59 victory over Oak Hill. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Oak Hill's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jace Tonagel, who scored 11 points along with 7 assists. The matchup was Tonagel's third in a row with at least ten points. Ty Fagan was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Norwell and bumps their season record up to 2-1. As for Oak Hill, they have fallen quite a ways from their 20-3 record last season and are now at 1-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Norwell will take on Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Oak Hill, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Mississinewa at 7:45 p.m.
