The Lee Legends will head out on the road to face off against the Maple Valley Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 19 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Lee and 12 for the Lions.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 54-21, which was the final score in Lee's tilt against the Quakers on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Maple Valley was beaten by the Yellowjackets 92-9 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Maple Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 687th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 242nd).
Lee's loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-11. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.7 points per game. As for Maple Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-13.
Lee came up short against the Lions in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 23-18. Can Lee avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
