The Charleston Trojans were the 83-61 winner over the Marshall Lions when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Charleston fell 57-49 to Marshall on Friday. Charleston has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Charleston's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Adam Rudibaugh, who scored 16 points, and Luke Bonnstetter who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Langdon King, who scored seven points.
Charleston dropped their record down to 11-17 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Marshall, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 13-14 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Charleston will take on Decatur Eisenhower at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Marshall, they will head out on the road to take on Robinson at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
