On Thursday, Jersey Village made easy work of Ball and carried off a 59-35 win. Given Jersey Village's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 323rd, while Ball is ranked 743rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ball's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kalyn Toussaint, who scored 17 points. The contest was Toussaint's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Braeon Arceneaux, who scored 14 points.
Jersey Village is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. As for Ball, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.
Jersey Village will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Spring Woods at 6:30 p.m. on December 5th. As for Ball, they will take on South Houston at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
