Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Eldorado

Eldorado barely beat West Mesa the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Eldorado was the clear victor by an 11-1 margin over West Mesa on Saturday. The Golden Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by ten runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Myka Gallegos, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Taylor Hogan was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Eldorado always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Mesa only posted an OBP of .300.

The win was the third in a row for Eldorado, bringing their record up to 6-7. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for West Mesa, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Eldorado wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 18-6 win against Valley on the 25th. As for West Mesa, they have also already played their next contest, a 20-0 victory against Highland on the 25th.
