Big Game from Iongi As Orem Won 45-16
Starting off the list is Orem's Feleti Iongi, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Iongi rushed for 212 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also caught a touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 105 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Iongi must have Cedar Valley's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Iongi saw the Aviators), he rushed for 189 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also picked up 71 receiving yards.

Carson Rasmussen Turns in Season-Best Effort
Carson Rasmussen produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Timpview to the win on Friday. Rasmussen threw for 319 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 38 yards and a touchdown.
The win (which was Timpview's third in a row) raised their record to 4-2. It'll be Battle of the Birds when Thunderbirds takes on Maple Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Eli Mauga was a major factor in Maple Mountain's victory over Springville on Friday. Mauga was dynamite, rushing for 205 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry.
Maple Mountain's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. It'll be Battle of the Birds when Golden Eagles challenges Timpview at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
