It was fun while it lasted, but Eureka's undefeated season came to an end after six games on Friday. They took a 64-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Remington Broncos. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Tornadoes came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Broncos are ranked 46th).

Eureka's loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-1. As for Remington, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.

Eureka has already played their next game (against Hillsboro), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Remington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 0-0 tie against Clay Center on the 25th.
