Santa Fe made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,607 from 10,752. The improvement was the result of 55-0 victory over the Demons last week.
Bernalillo's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Ralf Olguin threw for 26 and one touchdown and Nick Reyes had 22 yards receiving. On the ground Reyes chipped in 192 yards. Devin Vanhoose helped Bernalillo's passing attack out by catching two balls for four yards.
The Spartans' Olguin and Reyes have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 4A District 2 in both passing and receiving yards. Olguin has thrown for 227 yards this season, while Reyes, a 5-foot-7 receiver, has 14 catches for 132 yards. Anthony Abeyta from Santa Fe leads the league in rushing with 646 yards.
Bernalillo fell 31-27 to Gallup in the closest game of the week. Reyes in the loss.
