James River Midlothian won the last time they faced L.C. Bird and things went their way on Thursday too. The Rapids were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Skyhawks. The result was nothing new for the Rapids, who have now won five contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Brian Consuegra made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Cooper Harris was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Jayden Grant was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
