Klein Oak found their leader in underclassman Maci Mote, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds. Mote is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for five games straight. Another player making a difference was Kiana Vega, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.
Klein Forest has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-14 record this season. As for Klein Oak, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 27-6.
Klein Forest took a serious blow against the Panthers in their previous meeting back in January, falling 74-39. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Klein Oak's Khloe Vaughn, who dropped a triple-double on 12 points, 11 rebounds, and 12 assists.
