Turtle Mountain will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Wahpeton at 7:30 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Turtle Mountain had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They took their contest against Valley City last Friday 28-15.
Meanwhile, Wahpeton couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were completely outmatched, falling 8-50 to Central Cass.
Turtle Mountain's win lifted them to 1-0 while Wahpeton's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Turtle Mountain can add another positive mark to their record or if Wahpeton can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Turtle Mountain's step.
