Malcolm is 10-0 against Freeman since February of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Malcolm Clippers will head out on the road to take on the Freeman Falcons at 6:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Malcolm sitting on five straight wins and Freeman on 11.
Malcolm posted their biggest win yet this season on Thursday. They blew past Ralston 58-14 at home. Malcolm has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 22 points or more this season.
Halle Dolliver was her usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with seven steals. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Malcolm's points. Another player making a difference was Abby Zegar, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Freeman earned a 43-30 victory over Meridian on Wednesday. Given Freeman's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while Meridian is ranked 158th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Malcolm's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Freeman, their victory bumped their record up to 12-1.
Everything came up roses for Malcolm against Freeman when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 63-23 victory. With Malcolm ahead 44-9 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
