After low-scoring totals in their previous four contests, Skyview brought some dynamite into their most recent  matchup. They put the hurt on the Aurora Central Trojans with a sharp  12-0 victory on Thursday. The  win was some much needed relief for the Wolverines as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.
  Makayla Florez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   keeping things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than ten  strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing four bases while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news, Skyview got a big performance out of  Nevaeh Nevares, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. What's more,  Nevares also racked up two  hits, the mostshe's  had since back in September. Another player making a difference was  Jazmin Mungia, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Skyview  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Aurora Central didn't  hit any.
 Skyview's victory  ended  a  ten-game drought at home  dating back to last season and  bumped them up to 2-15. As for Aurora Central, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost nine of their last ten games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record  this season.
 Skyview has already played their next contest,  a  13-0  defeat against Lyons on the 9th. As for Aurora Central, they also  wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  match,  a  17-5  loss against Thornton on the 5th.
