It was another memorable day at Wickham Park as the Ridgefield boys and the Tolland girls captured team titles, and the boys race was decided by a photo finish.

Geoffrey Bolte offered a perspective that we have never had previously from Wickham Park in Manchester - that of someone who has actually run the storied course.
Bolte, a Tourtellotte High (North Grosvenordale, Conn.) graduate, competed in the 1999 CIAC Class S championships at Wickham (as an alternate, he confessed). He was also a 2001 CIAC indoor track champion in 55-meter hurdles, which was his true passion at the time. "I was never fast enough in the long distances to make the (cross country) Open," he said.
