Wetumka extended the longest winning streak in B District 4 (8 Man) this week by beating Gans, 48-0. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.
Wetumka took down the Grizzlies 48-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
5-foot-11 quarterback Tyler Douthit of Bowlegs is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1456. He has also thrown 22 touchdowns. On the ground, Davenport's Kevin Thomas has rushed for 1136 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Thomas. The Davenport star has 36 catches for 599 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Waymon Potts' team and Keota. The Chieftains enters the contest ranked fourth in the state, while the Lions ranks 11th.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Wetumka takes on Keota. The Chieftains have allowed 160 points this season, while Eric Henry's team has given up 199. Wetumka allowed 0 points last week as it bested Gans.
The Lions led B District 4 (8 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 76 points on Dewar.
